The beautiful white and pink apple blossom that appears during the sign following the spring equinox made this tree especially sacred at this time of the year.  The equinox on March 21 was, and still is, regarded as the first day of spring.  It was the chief festival of the goddess of fertility and growth and the apple was her sacred fruit.

Most born in the Apple sign are sprightly and quick-witted, and many share a strong compulsion to keep on the move.  Curious by nature, they show considerable interest in the affairs of their friends, and are ever ready to help or intercede on behalf of others.  They are perhaps the most inquisitive of any sign.
