In ancient times the whispering of the wind through aspen leaves was thought to be the voices of the spirit world. The aspen was therefore considered the messenger of the gods. It was particularly sacred to summertime and was consulted by the priesthood during the midsummer solstice around June 21.
Particularly conscientious concerning most endeavors, those born in the Aspen sign often play leading roles in political organizations or social groups. Few born in this sign are inclined to do anything on the spur of the moment and most are averse to change. The Aspen person has firm opinions and convictions. Anything to which the Aspen’s mind is set is well within the realms of possibility. They have a practical attitude to life and are seldom ones for dreaming, reminiscing or fantasizing. The Aspen person can however be too materialistic and cynical. |
